Through eye exercise worksheets, photographs, text manipulation, drawings, and autotheory, I explore reading and writing as linked perceptual technologies. Convergence centers around the etymological histories of the word “to read,” overlapping with experiences of convergence insufficiency, and visual evidence. The book was produced in blue xerograph on blue paper and black xerograph on vellum.
Convergence is a multiform project; I plan on continuing to realize the next stages of my research through large scale collage, installation, and second edition of the book.
